Our clinic is designed to provide DIYers like you with access to expert installers for any questions or advice you may need during your solar and battery installation. We also offer access to tools, equipment, and components*. Additionally, our clinic provides an opportunity to learn more about solar and lithium batteries to ensure a proper installation. Where are the Clinics Located?
Solar Clinics will be at the home of Big Beard Battery in Athens, Texas! Our gravel site adjacent to the workshop is perfect for boondocking. We provide water for filling your fresh water tank, but please note that there is no electricity or black tank dumping allowed. If you need to camp before or after the install, there are several RV Parks located within 15 miles.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Customers who have a scheduling conflict and need to reschedule are able to pick another available Solar Clinic Date and transfer their full deposit to the new date. Cancellations must be submitted via email to sales@bigbeardbatteries.com.
You are booking one of the limited spots for a future Solar Clinic. If you need to cancel for any reason and you notify us in writing, we will issue you a refund on your booking deposit based on the following schedule.

60+ days before Solar Clinic: we will issue you a full refund minus the 3% credit card charges on the deposit you've paid.

30-59 days before Solar Clinic: we will issue you a refund minus the 3% credit card charges as well as a 10% cancellation fee on the deposit you've paid.

15-29 days before Solar Clinic: we will issue you a refund minus the 3% credit card charges as well as a 20% cancellation fee on the deposit you've paid.

Cancellations within 15 days before Solar Clinic will not be refunded.
The additional fees you pay for your components, remaining install fee, etc. will be refunded in full minus the 3% credit card fees.
What is Included?
Our 5-day clinic includes coaching and guidance with system design and diagrams, as well as limited installs for a more one-on-one learning environment. Customers are responsible for the actual install and can request assistance from BBB Solar Team on an as-needed basis at an additional cost. The clinic fee is $2,000 + all components (batteries, solar panels, cabling, etc.) with a menu of add-ons based on availability. We offer a camping spot for boondocking, and fresh water connection is available. Tools are also available for customizing cables, carpentry needs, etc. We wrap up the clinic with a celebration party at the end! Check the available dates!

To book a spot, please pay your deposit now. Our team will work with you on your system design, and invoice you for the batteries and other components along with the remaining amount for the clinic. System purchase and remaining clinic fee is due 30-days prior to the Solar Clinic Date.
Who is Big Beard Battery Team?
The Big Beard Battery Team is a group of passionate experts and helpers who specialize in solar within the RV industry. Led by Todd Henson, a master certified RV technician and lead instructor at the National RV Training Academy, the team includes his wife Stephanie who handles admin and logistics, and their adult children Gavin and Raylea, along with son-in-law Peyton. Additional solar installers are also available as needed for labor during installations.
